Quince L. Brown | Timeline

Major Quince Lucien Brown (December 7, 1917 - September 6, 1944) was an american P-47 fighter pilot that destroyed 12,33 enemy aircraft in the air and two on the ground. He became well known after being the first american to strafe nazi ground targets. In September 6, 1944, Major Quince L. Brown was shot down by Flak and unhurt, although later he was shot and killed by a german civilian while trying to escape.

August 14, 1940 - ? - Quince joins the USA Air Corps
April 25, 1941 - Kelly Field, San Antonio -Texas - Quince receives his wings and a 2nd lieutenant commission =(START)
December 7, 1941 - Randolph Field, Texas - Quince knows about the Pearl Harbour attack during his birthday

July 2, 1943 - Duxford - Bob Hope pays a visit to the group, a day after their CO Peterson was shot down and killed
July 30, 1943 - over Haltern - Escort mission to returning Bombers. Quince Brown strafes a train in Leiden. He is the first american pilot to strafe nazi ground targets in WW2
