Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart | Timeline

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (27 January 1756 – 5 December 1791), baptised as Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart, was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical era. Born in Salzburg, Mozart showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. Already competent on keyboard and violin, he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty.   1. Dear Sir. In 1765, the Mozart family sailed from Dover to Calais on Aug. 1, but they had to stay at Calais until the 5th (at least) since they had a concert there on the 4th at the hotel of the Duke of Croÿ. When they left Calais exactly is unknown, but the were at Dunkerque on the 9th & 10 th. Therefore, they wouldn't be at Lille before the 11th.
